Chemral develops and distributes a novel, patented material class which are surface-modified alkaline calcium compounds (SMAC). Originally developed as biological fungicides and bactericides in plant and crop protection applications, the functionality of SMAC can be applied in a wide range of different applications from plant protection to functional additives in construction materials.
The surface modification changes the physical properties of the calcium oxide particles in terms of its rheology, adhesion and release mechanism.
